Construction
Once your final Contract has been signed, Pre Start is completed including all variations, and all necessary approvals have been received, your new home is then ready to be constructed.
Platinum Homes understands the importance of keeping our clients informed, and thus our Supervisor will make contact with you in the early stages of construction.
Your first meeting is typically when the ground floor brickwork has begun. If required we may conduct other site meetings during the construction stage and finally at the end of construction to arrange a Practical Completion Inspection (PCI). These meetings provide an opportunity to
raise any queries that you may have.
Things you’ll need to do
During construction you’ll need to do the following:
- meet with the Supervisor;
- make regular payments when you receive our Progress Claim and
- complete a Practical Completion Inspection.
What is a Practical Completion Inspection (PCI)?
This is the time to inspect your new home just prior to handover. Once the PCI has been completed, the Contracts Administrator will arrange with you a handover date.
Final Account
Your final account includes any outstanding monies, any Pre-Start variations and any provisional sums that need to be adjusted. This final account must be paid in full prior to obtaining the keys to your new home.
Handover and Maintenance
The handover meeting is when you receive your keys (please refer to the Handover and Maintenance sections in this guide for further information).
