Pre Start Meeting
Once your Contracts have been signed and the necessary paperwork has been completed, Platinum Homes will contact you to organise a Pre-Start Meeting.
What is a Pre-Start Meeting?
Pre-Start is the fine tuning stage for your new home – when all colour and material selections are finalised, and the last, non-structural amendments such as the lighting plan or cabinetwork changes are made.
The Contracts Administrator will arrange an appointment to meet with our Interior Designers at
one of our preferred suppliers. Our Interior Designers are knowledgeable and will guide you through external and internal colours, tiles, laminate, stone, etc.
Depending on the complexity of your home, the changes to be discussed and questions you may have, the Pre-Start Meeting should take between four and eight hours. It is held during office hours at Platinum Homes’ office in Burswood.
Things you’ll need to do before the meeting
Prior to your Pre-Start Meeting you will need to complete the following:
- Write a list of any changes you wish to request (for example, upgrade finishes; add extra power points or lights; amend selections of taps, baths, basins). A Change List is included in this section for your use.
- Meet our Interior Designers at the nominated Ceramic Tile Selection Centres and have a Tile Selection sheet completed by one of their consultants. This Tile Selection will also list any laminates chosen for your cabinetwork. You will be given a copy of the Selection to bring with you to your Pre-start Meeting (a list of Preferred Suppliers are included in this section).
